It would randomly insert meaningless characters into URLs, like `http://example.com/somearticle-_-12345.`, to prevent search engines from recognizing pattern similarities. The source code leaked on underground forums in mid2018, and within weeks, many SEO practitioners began modifying it, adding features like automatic sitemap generation and integration with Google Search Console APIs.
